Separately these two elements mean well.  But joined together they create the best example of ‘YOUR AN IDIOT’ for poor Yahoo!  It truly boggles my mind when stuff like this happens.  Clearly Folgers didn’t want to have their ad up next to an article saying how coffee can contribute to your first heart attack, SO WHAT IS THE DEAL?  Forget about the risk of heart attack, the person who let this happen really needs to increase their caffeine intake in order to ensure optimum alertness.

As an attempt to bring attention to human trafficking, this advertiser decided to put a woman in a view through suitcase and let her go round and round the luggage carousel at an airport.  As if seeing someone inside a suitcase isn’t freaky enough, her facial expression is terrifying. A sure way to catch someone’s eye, and then cause them to quickly look away.  This advertising failure has its heart in the right place, but really? I give two thumbs down for the freaky chick in a box.

6a00d8341c51c053ef0115703d964e970b-450wiAnother example of bad ad placement at its finest. What was going on when they put these billboards up!?  Separately they are acceptable ads.  But combined they become a super ad capable of offending people and putting awful visual pictures in their minds– all in one glance!  BOO on both of them for being so stupid!

Okay really– lets pay close attention to how Sarah Palin is advertising on a page talking shit on George Bush’s torture policy…  I might be mistaken but people said during the election that Sarah Palin made Bush look like a liberal intellectual.  Also, the Huffington Post they said it perfectly, “Underneath all the Tina, she’s George.”  So clearly the person that thought it would be a good idea to run this ad is a dumb-ass.  How hard is it to make sure that your ads don’t run on pages with content contradicting what you are trying to say!  Its called targeting people!!!

Haha— so here is another dose of bad ad placement.  This article from the Inquirer talks about a Dell laptop that exploded and then burst into flames somewhere in Japan.

The best part of this is running an ad stating that you can get “hot online deals on Dell laptop computers” at the bottom of this page.  Yep, about as hot as fire.  Idiots…

While bad ad placement [BAP] may be an unfortunate occurrence, some people in the advertising world are just ass holes.

adplacement

This first ad is an unfortunately placed bus wrap where it seems that the exhaust pipe is strategically (?) placed in the police mans crotch. Lovely… My favorite part is that it says, “Who’s making your neighborhood safer?” Obviously it is the policemen with tail pipe penises, I would just love to see the police man blow smoke from his privates.

Well Verizon, congrats on using your ad campaign to completely make yourself out to be a bunch of ass holes. By using their popular, “Can you hear me now?” slogan to get some customer attention on-line—  One thing Verizon obviously overlooked was that they are advertising on deaf.com. Enough said.

Looks like no one was paying attention when big shot ABC was placing this ad for poor hotels.com.  Check out this video clip and see what happens…
