I have been seeing a lot of these LAP BAND billboards popping up around town and I have to say this is by far the STUPIDEST one I have seen.  Attempting to promote the weight loss surgery, they use this billboard as an eff you to dieting.  How wrong does it seem that advertisers are trying to show all the obese people in America that instead of changing your lifestyle and loosing weight the right way, they should just get this surgery and all of their problems will disappear— Yeah right!  The message is confusing, the cause is wrong, and the ad itself is tacky.  You SUCK!

As an attempt to bring attention to human trafficking, this advertiser decided to put a woman in a view through suitcase and let her go round and round the luggage carousel at an airport.  As if seeing someone inside a suitcase isn’t freaky enough, her facial expression is terrifying. A sure way to catch someone’s eye, and then cause them to quickly look away.  This advertising failure has its heart in the right place, but really? I give two thumbs down for the freaky chick in a box.

This Japanese ad is likely to be the biggest waste of time I have ever seen.  For all of the effort that was put into this commercial, it is unfortunate that they let 12 year old (World of Warcraft playing) boys create this Coca Cola ad.  I love the over exaggerated faces and of course the gigantic rubber duck out to destroy the world.  The main issue is that half way through watching this you have completely forgotten what product the commercial is for—- which is a problem.

This poor model didn’t know what was coming.  As a young child it was my dream to have pictures of my ass up for everyone to see with the words “hot garbage smell” right on top. (No, really…)  Luckily for this girl her face isn’t involved.

While trying to catch peoples attention by bashing on others may seem like something that may be effective— There has got to be a better way!

bad advertising hates kids

This poor little kid must be so confused!

While trying to remind parents to keep a close eye on their children, this ads creator must have remembered how much he hated children.  This ad is in such bad taste, there has got to be a better way to go about this message.  While traumatizing kids with images of dead children on the bottom of the pool may seem like a golden idea–its not.

High Five also to the stupid guy who made this ad.  What did children ever do to you?  Im guessing you and the guy above have started a club in your mothers basement.  When you come up from the clubhouse, I have a great therapist I can refer both of you too.

Okay really– lets pay close attention to how Sarah Palin is advertising on a page talking shit on George Bush’s torture policy…  I might be mistaken but people said during the election that Sarah Palin made Bush look like a liberal intellectual.  Also, the Huffington Post they said it perfectly, “Underneath all the Tina, she’s George.”  So clearly the person that thought it would be a good idea to run this ad is a dumb-ass.  How hard is it to make sure that your ads don’t run on pages with content contradicting what you are trying to say!  Its called targeting people!!!

The sheer fact that this ad even was allowed to be seen in public amazes me. Not only is this woman wearing skankalicious lingerie– she is straddling a light pole !?! It might just be me but– I swear I can see her pubic hair. Well at least the hair (on her head) matches the faint logo in the upper left hand corner… Also, great job in incorporating two ad spaces and also using the light pole as a part of the ad, but really? Think of the poor mothers and nannies that have to cover their children’s eyes when they pass these ads. Your Grandmother would be ashamed!!!
